Plumbing Subcontractor
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and professional Plumbing Subcontractor to join our growing team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-employed plumbing professional looking for a consistent flow of work without the time, expense, and uncertainty associated with generating their own leads.
Working under the guidance of a Team Leader, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned installation works and reactive plumbing repairs, maintenance, and emergency callouts across domestic and commercial properties.
The primary focus of the role is to diagnose issues efficiently, complete high-quality work, and ensure our customers are returned to a safe and fully operational environment as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities
Installations
Assisting with installing boilers, ASHP, UFH and hot water cylinders as well as general pipework and bathroom fixtures.
Reactive Plumbing & Leak Detection
Identify, diagnose, and resolve plumbing faults and leaks efficiently and professionally.
Emergency Callouts
Respond promptly to urgent plumbing issues, failures, and emergency repairs.
General Plumbing Maintenance
Carry out a variety of routine and reactive plumbing repairs within both domestic and commercial environments.
Customer Service
Represent the company professionally at all times, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a customer-first approach.
Requirements
To maintain our high standards of workmanship and customer service, applicants must have:
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on plumbing experience.
- City & Guilds Level 2/3 or NVQ qualification in Plumbing.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Own suitable van for carrying out field-based work.
- Own professional-grade plumbing tools and appropriate PPE.
- Valid Public Liability Insurance and Vehicle business use insurance.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.

Important Information
This is a self-employed subcontractor opportunity and not an employed, PAYE or hourly-paid position. You will be responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, insurance, vehicle, tools, equipment, products, materials and business expenses.
Work is offered according to customer demand and is not guaranteed. Engineers may accept or decline individual jobs and must only accept work they are properly qualified, insured and equipped to complete.
